Café de Casilda by Tribox Design

“Sea, Sips, and Sunsets.”

With the Philippines composed of multiple islands, one of the features that we can truly be proud of would-be great beaches that both locals and foreign tourists enjoy.

Coffee is another rage here in the Philippines that we cannot really avoid, us being in the coffee belt. Whether it’s part of your morning routine, or for others a way to flex lifestyle, or just plain excuse to hang out and have good conversation with friends.

El Union in the great northwest surely has played a big part in fusing these two concepts together, but a new player in the South dares to also live by these two concepts–Café de Casilda. Stationed in the beautiful Moalboal, the cafe was built near the shoreline owned land and is accessible to the island’s white sand beach.

The design studio behind the visual identity of this cafe is Tribox Design which is also a Cebu-based design studio. Their first task was to create a design that incorporates the family’s late grandmother as an ode to her memory. This route not only gives them the legacy-brand look, but also the feel that they have been in the business for years already, thus an instant sense of trust between them and their clientele.

The studio also used their custom font which pretty much looks like Sulog, this visual brand, tying the identity even more closely to Cebu. The earthy color scheme also fits well with the whole aesthetic of the cafe and also gives off the historical, memorable emotions to it.

Brand Identity: Tribox Design team, led by Inusentes Catapusan.
